Morocco Extends Airspace Closure to September 10, Special Flights Unaffected

The Moroccan airspace will remain closed until September 10. Pending confirmation by a NOTAM (message to air navigators), this decision should not concern the special flights operated to and from Morocco.
This new development again upsets the plans of many tourists who wanted to travel to Morocco, reports Le 360. The decision, which has not yet been officially confirmed, excludes special flights dedicated to Moroccans stranded abroad and foreign residents in the Kingdom.
It is justified by the one-month extension of the state of health emergency, in accordance with the decision of the Council of Government on Thursday, August 6.
According to the same source, special flights will still be operated by the two Moroccan airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Air Arabia and Air France for flights to France and to Morocco.
