Morocco’s Royal Air Maroc Resumes Limited Flights to France After Suspension

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has been authorized to resume its special flights from and to France.
With the exclusion of Morocco from the list of countries exempted from travel restrictions in the European area, only Moroccans residing abroad (MREs), foreign residents in Morocco and Moroccan students will be able to use these flights. This decision comes after a 15-day suspension at the request of the French authorities. During the suspension, these flights were operated by Air France.
According to an internal source of the company, quoted by Le360, these flights will be operated at a rate of 150 weekly frequencies, starting this Friday, August 14. In detail, this represents 300 round-trip flights for 24,000 travelers per week.
Placed under surveillance at the last European Union Council at the end of July, Morocco was removed, at the beginning of August, from the list of countries whose nationals are authorized to travel in the Schengen area.
