Morocco Explores Russian Agricultural Drones and Livestock Tracking Technology

Morocco is showing interest in the new technologies developed by Russia in the field of agriculture, including "drones". This is at least what Alexei Andreev, the Russian commercial representative in the kingdom, has made known.
"Moroccans are interested in the application of these technologies in the field of outdoor cattle breeding, as well as in the field of camel route observation," explained Alexei Andreev, in an interview with Sputnik Afrique on the sidelines of the International Agricultural Fair in Morocco (SIAM) 2023. He also mentioned the "Russian products of the Espace company, for example, a manufacturer of special collars for the observation of large animals".
According to the commercial representative, Morocco is also interested in certain products from the Lukoil Lubricants company, which has been present in the country for a few years. This Russian company "offers different types of technical oils for agricultural machinery". "At the present time, we have information about the great interest of Moroccan companies in the application of these technologies in the agriculture of the kingdom," he said, adding that the Russian side hopes that "the cooperation between BTI and the companies of Morocco will be fruitful and mutually beneficial, a win-win situation".
