Morocco and Israel Sign Agricultural and Water Cooperation Agreement

Morocco and Israel have decided to strengthen their cooperation in the agriculture and water sectors. In this sense, the two parties have signed a memorandum of understanding.
Cooperation between Morocco and Israel in the agriculture and water sectors has a bright future ahead. On the sidelines of the second edition of the African Conference on Risk Reduction in Health focused on the theme "Health in Africa: water, environment and food security" in Marrakech, Mohamed Sadiki, Moroccan Minister of Agriculture, and his counterpart Avi Dechter signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening their cooperation in these two sectors. This memorandum provides for the creation of an agricultural studies center as well as the implementation of a technological agricultural project focused on water agriculture. Before signing the memorandum, the two officials had bilateral talks, focused on the prospects for strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the agriculture and maritime fisheries sectors.
"Morocco and Israel are taking important measures in the field of strengthening the partnership between them, so that this agreement is just the beginning," explained the Israeli Minister of Agriculture. He also emphasized the exchange of knowledge and expertise in the fields of agriculture and water. Avi Dechter is also convinced that concrete results in terms of food security will be obtained in the years to come.
