Morocco Expands Health Insurance to Cover Infertility Treatments

Certain drugs used in the treatment of infertility will now be reimbursed by the National Health Insurance Agency (ANAM). Dr. Leila Ibn Makhlouf, President of the Department of Medical and Technical Standards at ANAM, presented this project at the 5th National Conference on Infertility in Morocco.
Good news for infertile couples. They will now be able to benefit from health insurance, especially since infertility treatments cost between 30,000 and 45,000 dirhams in Morocco, reports the 2M channel.
In the finalization phase, this project will have to go through the Ministry of Health in order to proceed with the activation of the medical coverage in question.
During the conference on infertility in Morocco, the participants advocated for adequate governance of the health system in terms of infertility and reduced fertility treatment.
With the realization of this long-awaited project, it will now be easier to develop a lasting partnership between the public and private sectors, in order to expand the accessibility of treatments to all those who desire them.
