Morocco Expands Cultural Outreach with New Centers in Paris and Amsterdam

Upcoming opening of two Moroccan cultural centers in Paris and Amsterdam. The announcement was made by Nezha El Ouafi, Minister Delegate in charge of Moroccans Residing Abroad (MREs). She specified that these cultural centers are part of the cultural offering of the Ministry for the benefit of MREs.

Nezha El Ouafi explained that the two new cultural centers of the Kingdom will expand an existing network in Canada and Belgium.

"We must pay tribute to the millions of Moroccans of the world who carry high the interests of Morocco in their countries of residence and who express their strong attachment to their country of origin," said Nezha El Ouafi.

According to the new minister, MREs occupy a central place in the government program. She also stressed the challenge of rejuvenating the demographics of Moroccans of the world, with nearly 45% of the population made up of young people. 20% of them were born in their country of residence.

"Among our priorities is the loyalty of the youth towards their country of origin, in particular through the institutionalization of the cultural offering and the orientation of actions towards the young," concluded the Minister.
