Morocco’s Essaouira-Mogador Airport Prepares for Reopening with Enhanced Safety Measures

Closed for nearly 3 months, the airports authorized to open have already resumed their activities and are already welcoming passengers. Pending the reopening of the airspace, the Essaouira-Mogador international airport is gearing up for the resumption in compliance with the measures enacted to counter the coronavirus pandemic.
A few days before the reopening of Moroccan borders, the Essaouira-Mogador international airport wants to open to the public. Pending the arrival of its first passengers, the airport platform of the Cité des Alizés has designed a rigorous system.
It is part of the plan to resume the activity of Moroccan airports, planned by the National Airports Authority (ONDA) to ensure a healthy environment and a secure and reassuring welcome for travelers both on departure and arrival.
For the record, ONDA’s recovery plan aims to protect in particular passengers, staff and all airport users. It also wants to support the optimal recovery of traffic under the best conditions, in compliance with the directives of the Kingdom’s health authorities.
