While Spain has definitively removed its barbed wire on the 8.2-kilometer border perimeter around Ceuta, Morocco is putting new ones in place.
Installed over eight kilometers of barbed wire, the Moroccan fence is almost entirely covered with sharp blades, reports the local website El Faro of Ceuta, specifying that only a few points are still uncovered.
For its part, Spain has removed its barbed wire that human rights defense associations have always denounced. A year ago, the government of Pedro Sanchez had made this decision in the face of pressure from several NGOs and the European Union.
