Morocco Emerges as Top Destination from Marseille Airport, Second Only to Spain

Morocco is in the top 5 of the destinations that are a hit at Marseille Provence Airport (AMP). The latter has regained 90% of its 2019 traffic at the end of 2022.
With 660,000 passengers, Morocco ranks 2nd in the top 5 of the destinations with the highest flows at Marseille Provence Airport. The kingdom is ahead of Spain (nearly 900,000 passengers). The United Kingdom (557,735 passengers) is in 3rd place. Italy (505,000 passengers) and Germany (474,000 passengers) complete the podium.
For 2022, Marseille Provence Airport (AMP) announced 9,148,306 passengers (10% vs 2019 / + 96% vs 2021). Philippe Bernand, chairman of the AMP executive board, welcomed the recorded performance. "Marseille airport has regained 90% of its 2019 traffic at the end of 2022, as well as all of its destinations. This allows it to resolutely embark on the path of decarbonization with significant investments in energy production, the accessibility of the platform by public transport and the ramp-up of sustainable fuels."
