Morocco Resumes TV Education Programs as School Start Delayed

Following the postponement of the school start and the epidemiological situation, the Ministry of National Education has announced the resumption of the broadcast of revision and consolidation sessions on public channels.

According to the ministry’s press release, the broadcast of distance learning and revision courses resumes on Monday, September 13. Three cycles of education are concerned, namely primary, middle and secondary, reports the MAP.

The sessions reserved for the primary cycle will be broadcast on the television channel "Laâyoune" from 8 am to 6 pm, while middle school students will have to follow their courses on the "Al Amazighiya" channel from 8 am to 12:30 pm. For their part, high school students will be able to benefit from a longer duration and will be able to follow their consolidation courses from 8 am to midnight on the "Ataqafiya" channel.

These sessions aim at an optimal preparation of all students for academic success, provided in good conditions while consolidating their achievements during the previous school year, emphasizes the supervisory department.

The ministry calls on parents to accompany their children in following these television sessions while respecting all preventive measures and assures that it will remain in constant contact regarding the news related to the progress of the distance learning operation.

In addition, the courses will also be available on the TelmidTICE platform, the press release indicates.
