French Schools in Morocco Delay Opening, Offer Remote Learning Amid COVID-19 Surge

Following the postponement of the school start by the Ministry of National Education, the French embassy in Morocco reacted on Facebook, indicating that the schools will offer "educational continuity" with "revisions".
Due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and in order to vaccinate as many students as possible, the Ministry of National Education has decided to postpone the 2021-2022 school start to October 1st for all schools in Morocco.
The French embassy takes note of the decision and notifies the families whose children are enrolled in French establishments, in a post published on Facebook. "The school start in the French school network in Morocco will therefore take place on October 1st," summarizes the French embassy, specifying that "in the meantime, the establishments will offer students and their families remote educational continuity based on contact activities, knowledge and method revisions or upgrading".
The embassy also invites families "to welcome these changes calmly, which correspond to a strong desire to support the fight against the pandemic in the Kingdom of Morocco".
