The Moroccan authorities have authorized the resumption of certain economic activities as part of the implementation of the first phase of the plan to ease health confinement measures according to the epidemiological situation of each prefecture or province in a progressive manner, starting from June 11, 2020. The confinement has been extended until July 10th next.
The economic activities authorized to resume from June 11, 2020 as part of the first phase of the health easing plan are numerous. These are industrial activities, commercial activities, craft activities, proximity activities and small proximity trades, neighborhood commerce, liberal professions and similar professions and the reopening of weekly markets. The following activities are excluded from this list: restaurants and cafes with on-site consumption, hammams, cinemas and theaters, etc.
These activities will resume in the two easing zones. "In order to ensure the success of the plan to ease confinement measures, and to prevent the appearance of new virus outbreaks or its spread in different places or in areas hitherto unaffected, the public authorities urge all citizens to continue to strictly respect all prevention gestures and the health measures in force (wearing masks, distancing, etc.)," says a joint press release from the Ministries of Health and the Interior.
