Morocco Dominates Davis Cup Qualifiers, Advances to Group II

Morocco qualifies for Davis Cup Group II, after completing a flawless run in the Group III Africa qualifiers.
Held from August 8 to 13 in Algiers, the qualifying rounds allowed Morocco to defeat Algeria, Namibia and Kenya in order to access the Euro-Africa Group II of the Davis Cup.
In a statement to the MAP, Zakaria Zemrani, member of the executive committee of the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation, stated that Morocco owes this result to the harmony, cohesion and team spirit that characterized the Moroccan players and allowed them to stand up to their opponents.
He also highlighted the talent and know-how of the Moroccan team, stressing that the authorities spared no effort to provide the participants with all the necessary means.
The Moroccan team is composed of Mehdi Tahiri (team captain), Adam Moundir, Younes Lalami Laâroussi, Yassine Dlimi, Walid Ahouda and Mehdi Benchekroun.
