Morocco Dominates Algeria in Davis Cup Africa Zone III Opener

It was without much difficulty that the Moroccan tennis players overcame their Algerian counterparts in the first day of the Davis Cup Africa Zone III tournament.
The Atlas Lions entered the competition with a winning mindset. And this was evident on the first day of the Africa Zone III qualifiers for Zone 2. Morocco swept all the points, against an opponent that is none other than the host country.
It was on the courts of the Tennis Club of Bachdjerrah in Algiers that the Moroccan Yassine Dlimi defeated his Algerian opponent Toufik Sahtali in two sets (6/2, 6/4) after two hours of play. Adam Moundir further increased the score by allowing Morocco to secure a second victory by beating Rayan Ghedjemis in 6/2, 3/6, 6/3. Adam Moundir and Younes Lalami completed the Moroccan show by beating Hamza Reguig and Toufik Sahtali in two sets to zero 6/4 and 6/3.
On Thursday, the Moroccan team will face Namibia and hopes for an equally satisfactory result. Morocco plans to directly access Group II Euro-Africa.
