Morocco Develops Water-Efficient Cannabis Strain Amid Drought Concerns

In order to participate in the water rationalization campaign launched by the government, the National Agency for the Regulation of Cannabis-Related Activities (ANRAC) wants to create a new variety of cannabis that is less water-consuming.
The project was announced during the second board meeting of the National Agency for the Regulation of Cannabis-Related Activities (ANRAC), reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia, specifying that the research that has been launched will allow Morocco to have improved and adaptable varieties to production conditions at the national level.
Present at this meeting, the Minister of Agriculture, Mohammed Sadiki, said that as part of the process of developing cannabis regulations, the agency has made important strides in importing seeds that comply with the industrial use of cannabis.
During this meeting, the agency also discussed the organization of producers and manufacturers within a federation interested in the regulation, marketing and enhancement of the product. It was also a question of supporting producers in the field of training and support.
