Morocco Develops Locally-Made Smart Ventilator to Combat Respiratory Crises

Scientific research efforts continue in Morocco, in order to find reliable and definitive solutions to the current health crisis. It is in this context that the Foundation for Research, Development and Innovation in Science and Engineering has developed an intelligent medical artificial respiration device.
This prototype, developed in collaboration with a committee of doctors composed of a team from the Mohammed VI University of Health Sciences, and a military doctor from the military health service of the FAR, was financed by the Moroccan sugar group COSUMAR and "will be intended to meet the needs of the various medical centers caring for people suffering from respiratory problems".
The patent has been filed with the OMPIC, and is already in the process of being approved by the competent authorities. This artificial respirator will be produced and marketed by a Moroccan company.
