A major drug destruction operation took place in Settat. A joint commission, composed of representatives from the judiciary, customs, police, gendarmerie, civil protection and public health, proceeded to incinerate several tons of illicit substances.
More than 7.8 tons of hashish, 100 kg of cannabis, 13 grams of cocaine, 5 kg of shisha tobacco, 1,600 units of hallucinogenic tablets (ecstasy and Rivotril) and 3.5 kg of powdered tobacco were destroyed.
This operation is part of the fight against drug trafficking in Morocco. The authorities regularly carry out awareness campaigns, surveillance operations and interventions to limit the spread of drugs and seize illicit substances.
