Morocco Denies Rumors of Mass Dismissal of National Soccer Coaches Amid Pandemic

For a few days, rumors have been circulating about a decision allegedly made by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF). It is said to have decided to terminate the contracts of the coaches of the national teams due to the covid-19 pandemic.
The information that reached the FRMF had the effect of a surprise. According to a federation member contacted by Le360, there has never been "any question of dismissals within the National Technical Directorate (DTN) of the FRMF". He affirms that "the urgency of the moment is the strategies to be adopted for the resumption of competitions as soon as the green light is obtained from the competent authorities".
He acknowledged that some officials of the Atlas Lions junior categories are abroad, due to the suspension of air and sea links between Morocco and the rest of the world, and that "this could lead the FRMF to make several decisions in the future".
But to "part ways with the national technical director, Osian Roberts, who is working on a long-term project", remains a rumor spread by malicious people.
