Morocco National Soccer Coach Takes 50% Pay Cut Amid COVID-19 Crisis

The national team coach, Vahid Halilhodžić, as well as the members of the national technical management, have agreed to lower their salaries, thus helping to reduce the federation’s expenses, which, due to the pandemic, is in full crisis with the suspension of all competitions.
The board of directors of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) met on Thursday, May 7 by videoconference to examine the situation during this health crisis due to covid-19. Among other decisions, they decided to wait for the green light from the government authorities before "deciding on a possible resumption of the Botola after confinement". It was notably decided that the salaries of the technical management staff would be reduced.
Thus, the coach of the Atlas Lions, Vahid Halilhodžić, as well as the national technical director, Osian Roberts, have accepted a 50% reduction. As for the other members of the DTN, they will experience a reduction between 20 and 50%.
