Morocco delivers a heavy blow to the Netherlands: 5 dual-national jewels choose the Lions!

Five dual-national internationals playing in the Netherlands, including the talented Ayoub Ouarghi, have decided to wear the colors of Morocco. These familiar faces from the Dutch youth selections now prioritize the Atlas Lions for the rest of their careers.

The contingent is led by Oualid Agougil, 20 years old, a midfielder for Jong FC Utrecht. With eight assists in the second division this season, he has already accumulated 101 minutes of play with his club’s first team. The four other recruits, all 18 years old, mark a major generational shift, explains ESPN.

Among them, Ayoub Ouarghi stands out as the headliner. The captain of Feyenoord’s under-21s, who made his professional debut in December in a 6-1 rout against PEC Zwolle, had already made a few appearances with the Moroccan youth teams before confirming his final choice.

The offensive sector is strengthened with Sami Bouhoudane. A true "goal-scoring phenomenon" at PSV Eindhoven, the young striker has already scored five goals with the reserve team. He is accompanied by his teammate Benjamin Khaderi, captain of PSV’s U19s, who has integrated into professional football this season with three substitute appearances.

Finally, the goalkeeper position sees the arrival of Aymean El Hani. Recruited by Ajax Amsterdam in 2018, the Utrecht-trained goalkeeper has already taken a place on the bench of the Amsterdam club’s reserve team, confirming Morocco’s desire to secure its dual-national talents in all positions.
