It is precisely in the cutting-edge aeronautics sector that Moroccan expertise generates the most interest. Over the years, the Kingdom has built a solid industrial base, capable of attracting global giants like American equipment manufacturer Pratt & Whitney, recently established near Casablanca. This accumulated expertise in component manufacturing and aircraft maintenance represents an ideal springboard for Indian companies, which are seriously considering leveraging this skilled workforce to propel their own aeronautics programs.

This appetite for co-production is based on recent and tangible successes. The military industry experienced a major breakthrough in 2024 with the arrival of Indian giant Tata. The company inaugurated in Casablanca an assembly plant dedicated to the Kestrel/Whap 8x8 infantry combat vehicle. This historic establishment allowed the local market to reach a symbolic milestone, as the Moroccan army received the very first units of this armored vehicle at the beginning of this year, the first to be directly manufactured on its territory.
