Morocco to Create Over 23,000 New Government Jobs in 2020 Budget

The 2020 Finance Bill provides for the creation of 23,112 budgetary positions, for next year. Positions distributed among the ministerial departments and institutions, according to a presentation note of this draft law, written by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Public Administration Reform.
In addition to these positions, it is proposed to create 5,564 budgetary positions for the benefit of the Ministry of the Interior and whose beneficiaries will be the civil servants under the budget of the prefectural and provincial assemblies, who will be transferred, during 2020.
According to the MAP, the 2020 Finance Bill also provides for the creation of 700 additional budgetary positions for the benefit of the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Also, the creation of 15,000 positions is planned for the benefit of the Regional Academies of Education and Training (AREF), for the recruitment of AREF teaching staff.
These positions, according to the presentation note, are intended to regularize the situation of civil servants holding a Doctorate degree, who are recruited, through competitive examinations, as Assistant Professors.
Thus, the budgetary positions occupied by the persons concerned, in the ministerial departments or institutions to which they belong, will be abolished.
