Morocco to Create Over 26,000 Public Sector Jobs in 2022 Budget

A total of 26,860 budgetary positions in public employment are planned as part of the 2022 Finance Bill, compared to 21,256 positions for the 2021 Finance Law, an increase of nearly 26%.
In detail, 350 positions are intended for the head of government, who will be responsible for distributing them among the various ministerial departments or institutions, including 200 budgetary positions reserved for the benefit of people with disabilities, reports the MAP.
In addition, the national defense administration and the Ministry of the Interior inherit a large share, with 10,800 positions.
As for the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, it will be strengthened by 5,500 positions, or a 20.5% share, the same level as last year.
Furthermore, in the education sector, it is planned to create 700 additional budgetary positions for the benefit of the Ministry of Higher Education, 17,000 positions for the benefit of the Regional Academies of Education and Training (AREF).
