Morocco’s COVID-19 Death Toll Surpasses 7,000 as Daily Fatalities Rise

43 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health announced, bringing to 7,000 the number of people who have died from the coronavirus in Morocco since the start of Covid-19 last March.
The coronavirus caused 10 deaths in the Greater Casablanca-Settat region, all in Casablanca. The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region also recorded 10 deaths, including 4 in Kénitra, 4 in Salé, 1 in Rabat and 1 in Khémisset. It is followed by Fès-Meknès, which announces 6 deaths with 2 in Fès, 2 in Taounate, 1 in Meknès and 1 in El Hajeb.
In the Marrakech-Safi region, there are 5 deaths with 3 in Marrakech and 2 in Youssoufia. Béni Mellal-Khénifra announces 4 deaths with 3 in Béni-Mellal and 1 in Khénifra. Then come Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima and the Oriental, each recording 3 deaths, including 1 in Tanger-Assilah, 1 in Ouezzane, 1 in Chefchaouen, 1 in Oujda-Angad and 2 in Berkane.
Souss-Massa and Guelmin-Oued Noun each report 1 death, respectively in Tiznit and Guelmin.
