Morocco Conducts Large-Scale Military Exercises with Advanced Weaponry

According to the Forum of the Royal Armed Forces, these exercises aim to ensure the training of ground forces as part of the five-year program implemented by the FAR high command.

For the first time, Chinese MBT2000 tanks were used in the military exercises, in parallel with Russian T72B armored vehicles and French AMX10RC surveillance tanks, under the cover of American ground-to-ground artillery batteries.

In an article devoted to the Moroccan military exercise, the Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta praised the variety and richness of the Moroccan military arsenal, which comes mainly from Russia, China, France and the United States.

The Kingdom of Morocco intends to further strengthen its military logistics, through the acquisition of 200 American Abrams M1A1SA tanks, as well as 150 VT1A armored vehicles from China.
