Morocco Competes in 13th Arab Robotics Championship in Egypt

Morocco participated in the 13th Arab Robotics Championship held from July 1 to 4, 2022 in Sharm El-Sheikh Sports City, Egypt.
The curtain fell on Monday on the 13th Arab Robotics Championship held in Sharm El-Sheikh. More than 650 students from the age of four to the end of the university level representing 136 teams from 12 Arab countries, namely Egypt, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, Qatar, Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Libya, participated in the tournament, reports Egypt Independent. Morocco is participating with four teams, "Atlas High Club" from Taroudant, "November 13 Girls" from Khénifra, "Avatar" from Casablanca and "STARS-GDGSR" from Khouribga. The tournament includes nine robot competitions with different technological technologies (First LEGO Discover - First LEGO Explorer - First LEGO Challenge - First Tech Challenge - Tracking Line - Sumo - Ball Collection - Innovation - Football). Not to mention the organization of a youth forum on the sidelines of the tournament.
Organized since 2008 in the Arab world, the Arab Robotics Championship is a competition that brings together students from educational institutions from all Arab countries. It aims in particular to encourage participants to take an interest in technology, mathematics, science and engineering, to share their experiences and to develop their skills in scientific research, critical thinking, problem solving, programming and artificial intelligence. The tournament also highlights the role of robotics in education in the Arab world and brings young people closer to the civilization, customs and traditions of the host country, through tourist visits and the exhibition that accompanies the competition.
