Morocco Coach Renard Reflects on Narrow Loss to Argentina in Windy Friendly Match

National coach Hervé Renard returned yesterday to Morocco’s defeat against the Argentine team in the friendly match that took place at the Grand Stade de Tanger.
For the French coach, the Argentines took advantage of a small mistake by the Moroccans to score the only goal of the game. "On a small mistake, the Argentines managed to play a one-two and we conceded this goal at a bad time," he said, believing that the match should have ended in a 0-0 draw.
Congratulating the Argentines for their victory over the Lions, Renard downplayed this defeat, considering that the two teams were unable to play good football due to the "very strong" wind.
"It was difficult to exchange balls and we had trouble finding gaps," he noted, noting that it was also very difficult for the Argentines, but they managed to make the difference after a mistake on the Moroccan side.
For the coach, we now have to forget this match and this defeat and focus on the Africa Cup of Nations which begins next June in Egypt.
