Morocco Coach Regragui Urges Patience as Brahim Diaz Adapts to National Team

Walid Regragui is full of praise for Real Madrid player Brahim Diaz. While the player’s talent is undeniable, Regragui insists on the need for an adaptation period for him to shine fully in the Moroccan colors.
The 2022 World Cup has forged the Moroccan group, and Diaz must find his place in this dynamic, said the coach of the Atlas Lions. Regragui is reassuring, recalling that the next Africa Cup of Nations will be an opportunity to refine the automatisms.
The coach calls for patience with the Real Madrid player, stating that Diaz benefits from the support of his teammates, such as Achraf Hakimi and Munir Mohamedi, to facilitate his integration. The goal is clear: to allow Diaz to express his full potential within the national team.
Regragui also addressed the career choices of certain players during the summer transfer window. He recalls that each player is the master of his destiny, but that these decisions can have an impact on their place in the selection.
The case of Azzedine Ounahi is emblematic. Regragui regrets that the player did not join a bigger club, but salutes his awareness and determination to regain his best level, the player having acknowledged mistakes and lack of work in a video published by his current club.
The transfer of Nayef Aguerd to Real Sociedad is seen positively, while the situation of Hakim Ziyech at Galatasaray raises questions, he acknowledged, saying he is ready to discuss it with the player if he wishes.
