Morocco Coach Regragui Monitors Injured Stars Ahead of Friendlies

The coach of Morocco, Walid Regragui, is in close contact with several key players of his team who are currently recovering from injuries. The objective: to follow the evolution of their health and assess their availability for the next friendly matches.
Hakim Ziyech, injured in the ankle, continues an individual training program with Galatasaray. Regragui would have had a long exchange with him to know his situation and his recovery with a view to his availability for the next matches.
This is also the case for Soufiane Boufal, who is suffering from an injury that requires at least one month of rest. The coach has taken news of his player and has spoken with him about his recovery program.
The same goes for Noussair Mazraoui, absent from the pitches for several weeks due to a serious calf injury. He is also closely followed by Regragui, who has been in contact with the Bayern Munich full-back about his health status and his possible gradual reintegration.
The national coach, under pressure following Morocco’s elimination from the Africa Cup, has been clear with his players: only those who will be fully recovered will be able to claim a place in the group for the friendly matches against Angola and Mauritania.
Aware of the uncertainty surrounding the participation of this trio, Regragui has developed a plan B in case of withdrawal. He has identified alternatives for each position and has spoken with the players likely to replace them.
