Morocco’s Coach Regragui Cautious Ahead of Tough DR Congo Match in AFCON
After a crushing victory over Tanzania (3-0) on Wednesday in the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, the Moroccan team is preparing for its second match scheduled for this Sunday against the Democratic Republic of Congo. A match that promises to be difficult, according to Walid Regragui.
In a statement to the website of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, the Moroccan coach expressed his joy at the successful debut of the Atlas Lions against Tanzania, assuring that this victory will boost the morale of the team for the rest of the competition.
Walid Regragui added that it is important for the players to continue working and remain focused, congratulating the Atlas Lions for their state of mind and commitment that were felt during Thursday’s training session.
The Moroccan coach says he continues to work on the tactics to be put in place for the match against the Democratic Republic of Congo, scheduled for Sunday at 3pm at the Laurent Pokou stadium in San Pedro.
Morocco is at the top of Group F with 3 points, followed by the Democratic Republic of Congo with 1 point, Zambia with 1 point and Tanzania with 0 points.
