The coach of the Moroccan national team, Walid Regragui, has decided to bring forward by a few days the date of the gathering of the Atlas Lions, in preparation for the matches against Zambia and Congo, counting for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Due to the European championships which will continue until mid-May, Walid Regragui had to bring forward the date of the gathering of the Atlas Lions for these two decisive matches from June 3 to June 1.
The Moroccan technician has asked the physical trainer of the Moroccan team, Eduardo Domínguez, to establish an intensive program for these Moroccan players playing in the European championships.
Suspended for one match after his expulsion during the match against South Africa in the round of 16 of the 2023 CAN, Sofyan Amrabat will miss the match against Zambia scheduled for June 3 in Morocco, as part of the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
