Morocco Coach Halilhodzic Tests Positive for COVID-19, Misses World Cup Qualifier Squad Announcement

The coach of the Moroccan national football team, Vahid Halilhodzic, has tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, he will not be able to present the list of players called up for the upcoming matches at the press conference.
Instead of the press conference, the list of called-up players will be published on the website of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) on Thursday at 11 a.m. It is the medical staff who recommended the cancellation of this media event.
Vahid Halilhodzic tested positive a few days before two important appointments for the Atlas Lions. Morocco faces Sudan on September 2 and Guinea on September 6 as part of the 2022 World Cup Qatar qualifiers. The list of called-up players is therefore expected this Thursday on the official website of the FRMF and on its social media pages.
