Morocco’s Coach Halilhodzic Plans to Bolster Atlas Lions After Burundi Win
New recruits will be integrated into the Atlas Lions by the Bosnian coach, after the Moroccan team’s victory over Burundi on Tuesday.
The subject of strong criticism following the unsatisfactory results since his arrival at the head of the Atlas Lions’ technical staff, Vahid Halilhodzic managed to work on the tactical plan, which finally bore fruit.
According to Hespress, the coach went for the 3 points thanks to the young Lions, Noussair Mazraoui (23’), Youssef En-Nesiry (39’) and Achraf Hakimi (81’). Although satisfied with this performance of his protégés, Vahid Halilhodzic intends to continue this adventure until the qualification of the Lions for the 2021 CAN.
According to the same media, the technician, with a view to the qualification of the Atlas Lions for the African competition, believes that the players present do not constitute a definitive group and that he is ready to summon others.
"These changes were effective and the team managed to materialize three opportunities. Now, you have to know that I have not yet settled on the squad that will take part in the next matches. I don’t just have 11 players. I have a whole group to manage," said the Bosnian coach.
