Morocco’s Coach Addresses National Protests, Calls for Peaceful Progress

Responding to the question, Walid Regragui declares: "First of all, I don’t know any Moroccan in the whole world who wouldn’t want better education and health. What we all wish for is that everything is done with respect and without violence."

And he adds: "This is what we wish for our country, to always move forward. But always with the quality of the Moroccan: respect and without violence. And inshallah, everything will go well."

The national coach also commented on the reaction of certain players, notably Nayef Aguerd or Yassine Bounou. "As for the players, they have taken a stand. Everyone has their own opinion. It’s the private sphere. I think there is no Moroccan, and we are part of it, who does not want better health and better education. Everyone deserves it."
