Morocco Closes Borders to European RV Travelers Amid COVID-19 Concerns

Contrary to previous years, European, especially French, motorhome owners will not be going to Morocco this winter.
The coronavirus is preventing European motorhome owners from traveling to Morocco this winter. Since last March, the Moroccan borders have remained closed. A measure taken by the authorities of the country to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the kingdom. Many European motorhome owners had also found themselves stranded in Morocco for months because of this measure.
On the Facebook page of the site Le monde du camping-car, European motorhome owners say where they will have to spend the winter of 2020 or the option they have chosen. "I look forward to the green light to return to Morocco for six months. For that, we just need the Algeciras Tanger-Med crossing to be restored," writes Mamyfa. Marc, for his part, suggests that he will not go anywhere because 2020 is a lost year.
"I think this year we will stay at home. Spain, where we usually go, is not a recommended destination. Last winter, we rushed back to France, so this year standby," says Michel.
