French RV Travelers Return Home After 3-Month Ordeal in Mauritania

The French motorhome enthusiasts who had been stranded in Mauritania for more than three months due to the closure of the Moroccan border have finally been able to return to their country.
While he had left France for a three-week adventure in Mauritania, a group of motorhome enthusiasts from the A3C club found themselves stuck and confined in this sub-Saharan country due to the closure of the Moroccan border, reports Cridem.
First in Chami on the grounds of an inn, then in Nouadhibou, located fifty kilometers from the Moroccan border. Some motorhome enthusiasts parked on the parking lot of the Alliance Française while others immobilized their vehicles in the courtyard of the Catholic mission. They lived under high temperatures and faced sandstorms.
Subsequently, four crews were able to return to France by air without their motorhomes. Five others left Mauritania on August 7 to reach Tangier on August 10. Then they boarded a ferry to Spain to return to France.
