Morocco’s Civil Service Salaries Rise 15.7% Over Decade, Averaging 8,237 DH in 2021

The average salary in the civil service in Morocco has increased by 15.71% over the past decade, according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
This salary has increased from 7,150 DH to 8,237 DH, an average annual increase of 2.15%, despite the health and economic crisis, revealed the report on human resources annexed to the draft finance law (PLF) for the 2022 fiscal year.
This is mainly due to the revaluation of state personnel salaries decided as part of the second tranche of increases provided for in the social dialogue agreement concluded on April 25, 2019 between the government and economic and social partners, the same source indicates.
This report also showed an increase in the average net salary within the Department of Justice, which reached 12,145 DH compared to 9,482, 9,279, 8,330 and 6,487 DH recorded respectively in the Ministries of National Education and Higher Education, Health, Economy, Finance and Public Administration Reform, and the Interior.
In addition, the minimum wage in the civil service has also gradually increased during the same period, from 2,800 DH in 2011 to 3,000 in 2014 to reach 3,362 DH in 2021.
