Two Moroccan cities are featured in the ranking of the 50 most popular destinations in the world. The choices were made by the 1.5 million readers of the travel website Big 7 Travel.

After a gloomy summer 2020 due to the health crisis caused by the coronavirus, tourists are preparing to enjoy the next holidays in new places, including those identified by the travel website.

Marrakech, the ochre city, and Chefchaouen, the blue city of northern Morocco, offer exceptional tourist potential. They remain dream destinations for tourists. In the ranking, Chefchaouen is in 16th place, ahead of Marrakech-Safi, which is in 22nd place.

According to Mastercard Global Destinations, the ochre city is ranked the 2nd most popular city in Africa. In 2017, it welcomed 3.93 million international visitors. As for Chefchaouen, the blue pearl of Morocco, it won the trophy for the best intermediate African city in 2018. In 2019, it ranks 9th among the cities with the most beautiful streets and alleys.
