Morocco Centralizes COVID-19 Treatment to Two Specialized Hospitals

Morocco wants to accelerate the process of gradual lifting of confinement. To this end, active cases and future positive cases detected will be grouped in two specialized hospitals in Benslimane and Ben Guérir.
The Ministries of the Interior and Health have decided to free up the other hospitals in the kingdom so that they can continue to treat other types of diseases.
In doing so, almost all of the nearly 700 active covid-19 cases nationwide who are in a reassuring and stable state of health will be protected as well as their family and professional environment. They will also be provided with the necessary care given the controlled evolution of the epidemiological and health situation related to Covid 19 in the Kingdom. This improvement is made possible thanks to the combined and constant efforts of the citizen, the administration and all the components of Moroccan society.
The new structures dedicated to the management of Covid 19 will offer all the conditions for adequate accommodation and appropriate medical follow-up. Their management will be ensured jointly by civilian and military doctors and in the best conditions, like the effective collaborative management carried out so far.
According to the same source, this grouping will be accompanied by the continuation of massive screening measures for all contact persons, as well as in companies and professional spaces throughout the national territory.
