Morocco’s Central Bank Signs Cooperation Agreement with Russian Counterpart
Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) has just signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bank of Russia (the Central Bank of the Russian Federation), in order to improve and strengthen the cooperative relations between Morocco and Russia.
These agreements signed by Abdellatif Jouahri, Wali of BAM and Elvira Nabiullina, Governor of the Bank of Russia, cover the exchange of information and expertise in several areas, according to a joint press release from the two financial institutions.
The two parties have agreed to continue the design and implementation of monetary policy, macroprudential policy and the preservation of financial stability, the development of payment systems and means, the realization and implementation of financial inclusion strategies, as well as the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
