Morocco Call Centers Remain Open Despite Coronavirus Concerns, Sparking Employee Protests

Despite the risks of spreading coronavirus, call centers are still open in Morocco.
On social networks, distress messages from some employees are widely relayed to demand the closure of these "threatened" centers by the spread of coronavirus. Crammed by the dozens in confined spaces, they fear the worst. A petition addressed to the government, with more than 7,000 signatures, has also been initiated.
In addition, some companies such as B2H, Anotel and Majorel, have, as a security measure, ceased their activities. Others, faced with this progression of the virus, resort to telework, which has been guaranteed to people at risk. Management has increased the number of dedicated shuttles for transporting staff, also ensuring regular disinfection of the premises and buses.
