Morocco Bolsters Military with Delivery of Advanced Turkish Combat Drones

Morocco has received the first batch of Akinci combat drones, specifically manufactured for its armed forces by the Turkish company Baykar.
Sources following military news have indicated that this version intended for Morocco would include improvements compared to some models delivered to other countries.
This acquisition is part of an agreement concluded between Morocco and Turkey aimed at strengthening the defense capabilities of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), particularly in the areas of surveillance and attack. In anticipation of their entry into service, Moroccan pilots have been trained in the use of these devices over the past two years. The delivery of this first batch, initially scheduled for last month, had been postponed for logistical reasons.
The Bayraktar Akinci drone has very good operational capabilities. It can operate at an altitude of up to 40,000 feet (about 12,000 meters) and has a flight endurance of up to 24 hours continuously. Its weapons payload capacity is 1,500 kg.
