Morocco Bolsters Air Force with Airbus H135 Helicopters for Training Missions

Morocco has ordered Airbus H135 helicopters from the European aircraft manufacturer, Airbus. This will modernize and strengthen its military helicopter fleet.
"We are proud that the Royal Air Force (RAF) has chosen the H135 for their training missions. It is a reliable and economical multi-role helicopter, perfectly suited for the transition to more complex aircraft," says Arnaud Montalvo, Head of Africa and Middle East at Airbus Helicopters, adding that the H135s will be a major asset for their fleet.
In a press release, Airbus announced that the contract with the RAF covers a set of support services including the delivery of flight training devices and the training of instructor pilots and maintenance pilots. "The training program will allow the RAF to fully leverage the multi-mission capabilities of the H135, such as night vision goggles (NVG) and hoisting," the manufacturer points out.
The H135 is one of Airbus Helicopters’ most successful light aircraft, known for its high resilience, compact design, low noise levels, reliability, versatility and cost-competitiveness. This aircraft is capable of "performing many different missions, landing almost anywhere, particularly high and hot, while carrying more payload over longer distances than other rotorcraft in its category," says Aerocontact.
