Morocco Upgrades Air Force with Five H135 Helicopters for Pilot Training

Morocco will soon equip its air force with five H135 helicopters that will replace the AB206 for pilot training in transport, search and rescue missions.
The images of the five H135 helicopters, bearing the codes D-HCBB, D-HCBQ, D-HCBJ, D-HCBK and D-HCBL, were taken at the Manching Airbus Center, located at the Ingolstadt airfield in Germany. Equipped with Safran Arrius 2B2 engines, the Helionix avionics system, a TAS620A traffic advisory system and an integrated communication system, these aircraft will be used to train the Moroccan air force pilots for transport, search and rescue missions, reports Defensa.
The purchase contract includes the delivery of the aircraft and the training of instructor pilots as well as maintenance teams. The training will allow the Moroccan air force to appropriate the multi-functions of the H135, such as NVG (night vision goggles). The latest generation helicopter will replace the Bell 206 used for pilot training, which have now become obsolete. Spain, for its part, received its first H135 helicopter in early May, which will be assigned to the Military Helicopter School.
