Morocco Bolsters Air Force with First Airbus H135M Helicopters for Training and Rescue

Airbus is about to deliver to the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces (FAR) its first two H135M helicopters for training, transport and rescue.
This announced delivery follows the contract signed in July 2022 between the FAR and Airbus. The two H135M helicopters "have arrived at Perpignan airport in France and will stop in Almería, Spain, before reaching the Kingdom," informs the FAR-Maroc forum on its Facebook page. A batch of 10 units of this aircraft should follow, as Morocco has ordered a total of 12 units of this model.
The H135, a light twin-engine helicopter, is intended for the training of pilots of the Royal Air Forces (FRA) and to carry out search and rescue missions. It is a "multi-role, reliable and economical helicopter, perfectly suited to the transition to more complex aircraft," said Arnaud Montalvo, Head of Africa and the Middle East at Airbus Helicopters, quoted in a press release of July 18, 2022.
The contract between Airbus and the FAR includes the delivery of the aircraft and the training of instructor pilots and maintenance personnel. In addition to Morocco, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and Japan are also interested in this reference helicopter.
