Morocco Arrests Travelers with Fake COVID Documents at Ceuta Border

The Moroccan police arrested several people on Wednesday at the Tarajal border crossing who had come from Ceuta and presented fake PCR tests and vaccine passports.
The Moroccan authorities have turned away some people from Ceuta who had fake PCR tests and vaccine passports, and have arrested several others who were taken to the Tetouan police station, reported El Pueblo de Ceuta.
An investigation has been opened to find out how these passengers obtained these fake documents with which they tried to enter Morocco via the Tarajal border.

Since the reopening of the border with Morocco on May 17, these documents have been required for any traveler wishing to go to the kingdom from Ceuta, which has led to a shortage of Covid vaccine doses, with many travelers flocking to the autonomous city’s health centers to get vaccinated.
