Morocco Armored Vehicles Manufacturing Defense Industry
General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the Southern Zone, visited the Tata factory in Berrechid, where WhAP 8×8 armored vehicles destined for the Moroccan army are manufactured.
This visit was announced by Tata Advanced Systems, which sees it as a new step in strengthening the military and industrial partnership between Morocco and India.

The Tata Advanced Systems Morocco factory is to produce WhAP 8×8 armored vehicles for the Royal Armed Forces, as well as for foreign clients.
Berrechid enters Morocco’s military framework
The site is to start with 35% locally-sourced components. This rate is then to reach 50% through training and integration of Moroccan suppliers.
The factory also plans 90 direct jobs and 250 indirect jobs. It is to train Moroccan expertise in the manufacturing and maintenance of advanced military vehicles.
