Morocco Announces 24-Man Squad for Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier Against Mauritania

Vahid Halilhodzic unveiled on Thursday his new list of 24 Atlas Lions, in preparation for the match against Mauritania, counting for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers.

On the list of Bosnian coach Vahid Halilhodzic, we note important absences, particularly at the level of Botola Pro players where no WAC player appears, with the exception of two local Rajaouis.

These absences can be justified by the coach’s concern to win these two important matches. To this end, he is counting on experienced players, used to major competitions, in order to hit the mark on November 15 and 19.

Here is the list of those called up:

Yassine Bounou (FC Seville)

Mounir Mouhamadi

Anas Znaiti (RCA)

Abdelhamid Younsi (Reims)

Badr Bannoun (RCA)

Zouhir Feddal (Betis)

Achraf Hakimi (Dortmund)

Noussaïr Mezraoui (Ajax)

Hamza Mendil (Dijon)

Romain Saïss (Wolfhampton)

Nabil Dirar (Fenerbahçe)

Salim Amlah (Standard Liège)

Soufiane Amrabat (Hellas Verona)

Faïçal Fajr (Getafe)

Omar El Kaddouri (PAOK Salonika)

Rachid Allioui (Angers)

Nordine Amrabat (Nasr)

Youssef Nsayri (Leganés)

Hakim Ziyech (Ajax)

Soufiane Bouffal (Southampton)
