Morocco and Algeria Clash in Arab U20 Nations Cup Quarter-Final
Morocco faces Algeria in the quarter-finals of the Arab U20 Nations Cup. This match will be held on Tuesday, June 29 at the Cairo stadium.
While Morocco finished top of Group B, the Algerian selection qualified with difficulty for the quarter-finals, after the draw against Niger (2-2), in the 3rd and last match of Group A. Algeria’s goals were scored by Ahmed Mostafa and Adem Dougui, while Adem Omar and Salah Simila scored for Niger.
At the end of the 3rd and last day of Group A, Egypt finished in 1st place with 9 points ahead of Algeria (4 points), while Niger (2 points) and Mauritania (1 point) were eliminated.
Sixteen countries divided into four groups are participating in this competition. Senegal, invited to the tournament, holds the trophy from the previous edition which was held in Saudi Arabia.
