Morocco’s Amine Harit Injured in Training, AFCON Participation in Doubt
German media have just revealed that the Schalke04 player and Moroccan international Amine Harit was injured on Tuesday during a training session with his team. His participation in the Africa Cup of Nations seems compromised.
It would be a collision with one of his teammates, precisely the Algerian Nabil Bentaleb, that caused this injury, probably to the left ankle if we base it on the photos. The Atlas Lion was unable to finish the training session despite the intervention of the medical staff. And his teammate, Nabil Bentaleb, immediately left the training pitch to comfort Harit. The team was training for the match against Düsseldorf, which counts for the 23rd matchday of the Bundesliga.
Amine Harit should undergo further medical tests to determine the exact nature and severity of the injury. Some media sources are already hypothesizing that the 21-year-old Moroccan international may not be able to participate in the 2019 CAN, scheduled for next June.
Let’s remember that Amine Harit recently said "and on our return to Morocco, the support we had on our arrival was so incredible. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. I want it again. I want it a million times," talking about Morocco’s qualification for the World Cup in Russia.
